Just recently I can across a new gel liner that I've come to really enjoy due to it's ease of application. It's by a brand called Mellow Cosmetics.
Given the good experience I had with the gel liner I thought I'd try the brow products. I decided that I'd try out the brow definer and pomade and see how I went with those.
Both the brow definer and pomade come in six shades.
- Blonde
- Caramel
- Taupe
- Mocha
- Auburn
- Chocolate
Even though I have dark brown hair I have a fair-medium skin tone and blue eyes so I chose a shade that I thought we be dark but not too dark and have neutral to cool undertones. That's the reason why I chose the shade 'Caramel' (see below) and hoped it would suit it without giving me that 'stuck-on' brows look.
I paired the brow products with the following:
Chi Chi Cosmetics Fabulous & Flawless foundation in shade '5.5 Buff'
Flower Beauty Light Illusion concealer in shade 'Medium Honey'
I Heart Revolution Tasty Avocado eye-shadow palette using shades 'Hass', 'Guacamole', 'Green Gold', 'Lime' and 'Creamy'
Revolution Pro Peach and Glow blush palette, translucent powder and lipstick in shade 'Classic'
Models Own Sculpt and Glow highlight powder in '02 Peach Pearl'
I find the definer and pomade are a good colour match and are easy to apply. The 'Caramel' shade is dark but not too dark. The shade doesn't veer too red or grey. The formulation of the pomade isn't to thick or sticky and it doesn't ball up or crumble.
I would recommend these products if your interesting in trying a new cosmetics brand and/or are looking for products with staying power.
